Copencool Dinners in Copenhagen

Copencool Dinner

Copenhagen has got another bunch of Michelin stars and winner of Bocuse D’or food award 2019, but you can also go urban and do a raw evening dinner with award winning street food.

Ovation Denmark has created a special urban tour, where you enter the new developing area of Refshaleøen, close to the Copenhagen City Center. Here we will try organic street food at its best. The local chefs will entertain about how we reduce food waste using the United Nations checklists and the chefs will in an entertaining way make sure that the guests catch the spirit. We will do flashmob and have local entertainment, that match the atmosphere. The street dancers and garbage bin drummers kick start the atmosphere. The drink list will consist of street cocktails as well as a healthy selection of Danish organic microbrewery beer. The Copencool Dinner is a way to try the best of the new Danish kitchen where the chefs are experimenting. Some of the well-known chefs behind Noma and other gourmet restaurants are assisting in creating the ultimate street food concept. Transport to the Street Food area can be with boat, bus or bicycle rickshaws. The new developing area of Copenhagen is the perfect match with the traditional warehouses combined with modern architecture. We pass CopenHill, the new exceptional skiing hill with an outstanding architecture, which was one of the reasons Copenhagen won the Lonely Planet top rating as the place to visit in 2019.

Welcome to Ovation DMC’s Copencool Dinner Experience.

Do like the Vikings - sail the open Sea

The Danish Vikings enjoyed sailing and the Danes still like to use the waters around Denmark. Ovation DMC has created a couple of concepts, that are suitable for incentive groups with the base in Copenhagen or the Island of Funen (2 hours drive from Copenhagen). From Copenhagen habour we cruise on RIB Boats, Match Race sailing boats or old Schooners in the Oresund Sea between Denmark & Sweden to the Islands of Flakfortet or Hven. We have a fun teambuilding competition throughout the island and time for a swim before lunch. The lunch is a pleasant selection of Danish herring and other seafood combined with cold cuts, most of it organic. The lunch will be served, so participants have to put together their own Open Sandwiches – Smorgasbord. It is a fun way to get to know the Danish kitchen and the construction of the sandwiches will be assisted by the chef. A Danish tradition is to have beer and snaps (Aquavit) together with lunch. After lunch there will be boat transport back to the mainland. On the Island of Funen (Fyn) the similar program can be done in combination with bridge walking and Hans Christian Andersen theme using the cities Odense & Middelfart as base for exciting programs. Here you will get adventure in the footsteps of the well-known Hans Christian Andersen, who was born in Odense, the historic capital of Fyn, by a inspiring fairytale walk through the old town. In Middelfart we try crossing the waters high up on a bridge followed by the RIB sailing trip to a small private island, where lunch is served. Great adventures await in the footsteps of the Vikings.

Dine like the Danish Royal Family

Denmark is known for its many castles. Ovation DMC has created great dinners at some of the castles spread all over Denmark. In the vicinity of Copenhagen we can recommend the castle of Kronborg, only 40 minutes’ drive from Copenhagen. The castle is also known as the castle of Hamlet and it is overlooking the waters between Denmark & Sweden. Welcome drinks will be served on the walls of the castle and the dinner served at the Grand Ball room. The theme can be historic and waiters and entertainment can be adjusted thereafter. We can organize Hamlet actors, who will do short stories from the play and there will be a self-guided walk with guides placed at certain interesting points. The dinner can be spiced up with burning torches upon arrival and fireworks afterwards.

On the transfer from Copenhagen to Kronborg a visit at the Museum of Modern Art, Louisiana, is on the way and here a one hour tour of the Danish Art highlights with a welcome drink is also a possibility.

Closer to Copenhagen the castle of Christiansborg, that now holds the Danish Parliament also offer exclusive dinners for up to 100 persons in the Tower of Christiansborg. The Dinner here is top class Danish food, mainly organic, very tasty Gourmet Bib and with a great view over the city of Copenhagen. Transfer to Christiansborg could be with boat in the canals of Copenhagen.

The exclusive castle of “Naesseslottet” dates back 150 years and is 25 minutes drive from Copenhagen in very beautiful surroundings by a lake. It can take up to 80 persons and also here you can start with a boat trip on the lake with welcome drinks before a short walk through a forest with interesting sculptures, that inspires for a great Evening in a historic environment. Welcome to Royal Dinners in Denmark.
